CalcKeep support
Create a calculator once, save your rule, and change the numbers next time. Here’s how to get started and keep your work safe.
Open Templates, choose a calculator, and enter your numbers. Where available, Use example loads illustrative values. Save a personal copy to reuse or edit it.
In My Calculators, tap + and choose Create manually. Enter a formula, set up its inputs, and calculate. Use example can fill an editable starter calculator.
Choose Create with AI, describe your calculation, and copy the prompt to an external AI assistant. Answer its questions there, then paste the final JSON reply back for review and a trial calculation.
Check the rule before you rely on it.
AI, templates, and manually entered formulas can all produce incorrect results. App checks do not prove real-world correctness. Review the formulas, units, assumptions, and an independently known example. Read the calculation and AI notice.
No CalcKeep account is required. Calculations run locally, including offline while you have the required access. Pro purchases, subscription checks and restores use Apple’s services; purchasing and restoring require a connection and your Apple Account. Creating with an external AI assistant requires that service, which may have its own account, connection, and fees. A cloud-backed Files location also depends on its provider.
All built-in templates are free to use with your own numbers, including templates with multiple results. You can view their formulas and examples, and create and trial a personal calculator for free. CalcKeep Pro lets you save, edit and reuse unlimited personal calculators with your own formulas and starting values.
Monthly and yearly plans provide the same features. An eligible yearly subscriber may receive a seven-day free trial. The app and Apple’s confirmation show your actual local price, trial eligibility and renewal terms before you agree. Pro does not include an external AI service or its fees.
Choose Settings > CalcKeep Pro > Restore purchases to check an existing subscription with the Apple Account used to buy it. Use Settings > Manage subscription for renewal and cancellation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled; canceling renewal keeps access until the current period ends. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
If Pro expires, your saved calculators remain available to view, delete and export. Their calculation and editing features require Pro. All built-in templates continue to work for free, and backup export and import remain free. Restoring a purchase does not restore local calculator files; use a calculator backup for those. Terms of use.
Open How it works to inspect the formulas and assumptions. Check every input, the meaning of percentages and ratios, units, and rounding. Compare with a case you can verify independently. A valid formula can still describe the wrong rule.
For example, a 25% markup on cost and a 25% profit margin on the selling price are different calculations. Make sure the calculator matches your intended meaning.
No. A unit label describes a value; it does not automatically convert between units. Supply the units required by the formula and convert values yourself where needed. A percentage input also follows the formula’s convention: check whether it expects 25 or 0.25.
Yes. Each result uses the calculator’s inputs rather than other results. All results are calculated together. For larger sets, Show all expands the top area; calculating also reveals the complete set.
Changing a number for a calculation does not automatically replace your saved defaults. Use the calculator’s save action when you want to keep those numbers. Saving or editing a calculator is an explicit action.
No. CalcKeep prepares a prompt for an external AI assistant that you choose. You copy it out and paste a final reply back. The app does not send your calculator to an AI service itself. Once created, the local calculation engine evaluates the formulas.
Anything you share with an external service is handled under its own policies. Avoid including private customer information, passwords, or other sensitive details. See the privacy policy.
Answer in the same external AI conversation. Once the calculation is clear, ask for the final reply in the required JSON code block. Questions and explanatory text are not calculators to import.
Copy the complete final JSON using the code block’s Copy button. Copying rendered prose can change quotation marks or lose multiplication signs. Follow the app’s specific error message. When offered, Copy repair prompt includes your description, the failed reply, and the error for you to take back to the external AI.
You can touch and hold an error message to copy it. Do not guess where missing operators belong: ask the AI to regenerate the reply, then check it again.
No. Review checks the supported format, formula rules, and supplied example consistency. AI can misunderstand your request and create both a wrong formula and a matching wrong example. Inspect the rule and test a case you already know independently before saving or relying on it.
Your working library is stored in the app’s local storage. There is no CalcKeep cloud library or automatic cross-device sync. Device backup and restore services are separate and depend on your Apple settings.
In Settings > Export backup, choose Save to Files and select a location outside the app’s own folder. CalcKeep creates a CalcKeep Backups folder there and remembers it. Later, use Back up now to save a new copy or Change folder to choose another location. An existing backup folder keeps its name and location.
Share backup offers system sharing options such as AirDrop. Backups are readable JSON files containing saved formulas and default values. Keep them somewhere you trust.
Backups are made when you request them; they are not automatic. Use Import backup, select a compatible file, review its contents, and confirm. Import adds independent copies rather than replacing your entire library. Check the restored calculators before removing an older copy.
Deleting a calculator removes it from the working library, but does not erase exported backups or copies in other apps. Deleting the app removes its local data. iOS Offload App is different: it keeps documents and data.
Before deleting the app or changing phones, make a separate backup outside the app’s folder, confirm the file is accessible, and keep another copy if the work matters. A file’s continued availability depends on the location or provider where you save it.
Questions, feature ideas, or a template you wish we had? Email calckeepapp@outlook.com. We welcome your feedback and would be happy to talk about how CalcKeep could work better for you.
Tell us what you want to calculate, when you’d use it, and how you handle it today. Questions and corrections about existing templates are welcome too.
Have a calculator that could help others? Send its formulas, an example with fictional numbers, and a short explanation of who it helps. We’d be happy to discuss adding it to the built-in template library. We’ll confirm your permission and how you’d like to be credited before publishing it.
